Fun, Fun!
Micah has a month's free trial of a suite of programs we're saving up to buy...Macromedia Studio Eight. So we've been having fun playing around with the programs. You might have noticed that I made a few little changes to the title and pictures on my blog. So I'm not a graphic artist yet...but with programs like these, you almost don't have to be! The programs are great. Now I'm having visions of buying a digital camera, because we could do some great stuff with our pictures with these programs...
Why is it the more stuff you buy, the more stuff you think you need?

I highly recommend buying adobe over Macromedia. Adobe's programs are better organized, more encompassing, and more user friendly.

That's good to know. But what you say the same of the web-design software specifically? Have you ever done much with Dreamweaver?
Erin
I have done web design work, and prefer dreamweaver, again because it's user friendly, and the capabilities are better. Overall the package is just more complete than Macromedia. The only program worth anything in Macromedia is Flash, and that's only because Adobe doesn't have a program that's comparable.
It is worth noting also, that adobe has acquired (bought) Macromedia. This is a recent development, and that makes the future of Macromedia unclear. I would say that specifically affects the issues of user support services.
