This is what I'm missing!

It's been a while since I've seen beautiful fall leaves like this. This picture is my little "fix":o) Isn't it beautiful? We are just now beginning to feel a little bit of nip in the weather. It still reaches almost 90* during the day, but the nights have been down in the low 60*s. Aaahhh. Sigh.

That's what it SHOULD look like where I live . . . but doesn't, because it's been raining off and on for the past week. :( So nearly all the pretty leaves have fallen off without us getting to enjoy them as much as usual. Oh well, at least we got to have some pretty fall days before it rained! And I don't envy your 90 degree weather, that's for sure!!!

Have a great weekend and a fun trip to DC! I've only been there once, and it was in junior high . . . would love to go again with my family someday!!

Nikki...
feel free!:o) I'm actually not sure where it came from. I was looking through some of the picture files on our computer and came across it. Wherever it is...I wish that Micah and I were walking there right now!

Carrie,
I've been hearing on the news about all the bad weather out your way! Hope it clears up soon! I like rain for a little while, but I know it's not fun when it drags on and on. Gets depressing after a while to be cooped up.

That's what it's starting to look like here. I don't know if I could ever live some place that didn't have seasons. I lived in MN for so long where there was only Summer and Winter, and MO offers a wonderful opportunity to take drives and see the leaves look like this.

They almost glow don't they? In contrast to the deep browns of the bark...
